
Quick Lasagna al Forno (No-Boil Noodles)
Ingredients
- 12 no-boil or oven-ready lasagna noodles
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 cup ricotta or béchamel sauce
- 2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 0.33 cup grated Parmesan
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook 3–4 minutes until soft.
- Add garlic and ground beef; cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer no-boil noodles over the sauce, then add more meat sauce, spoonfuls of ricotta or béchamel, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
- Repeat layers, ending with sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
